10-11 - KVA Conference Tournament

The CHS Girl's Golf team finished off their season on a high note as the girls finished a spot up in the conference standings by placing 3rd at the KVA Conference Tournament!  
Senior Lauren Bonds led the team with a 97 which moved her into the top 10 in the conference earning her a spot on the KVA All- Conference team!  Senior Leah Petrick finished out her 4 year career firing her lowest 18 round of the season! Sophomore Abby House improved her Conf Tny score over last year by 9 strokes and earned a spot on the Honorable Mention All-KVA Team! Congrats also go to first year players Emily Dodson, Katie Rooney & Kendall Green for finishing the season off with strong performances! WAY TO GO COLTS!

10-6 - MHSAA Regional

On Wednesday The CHS Girls golf team traveled all the way up north of Grand Rapids to Silver Lake Country Club in Rockford where they competed in the MHSAA Division 4 Regional tournament.  With a field of 11 teams, 4 ranked in the top 10 in the State, the Colts placed 7th. Sophomore Abby House shot her personal best (99) missing qualifying for state finals by a mere 3 shots!  The final event of the season takes place on Tuesday as the team finishes up at the KVA conference tournament all day at Milham Park! GO COLTS!

2016 Girls Golf Regional Results

9-27 - KVA Martin Jamboree - Mullenhurst

The girl's golf team traveled to Martin to compete in the KVA event at Mullenhurst Golf Course...low scorers on the night for the Colts were senior Captain Lauren Bonds and Sophomore Abby House both shooting 50.  Sophomore Emily Dodson shot another fine 9 hole score with a 51.  Proud of efforts by Arreona Blakely and Lauri Sivley in competing for the varsity squad and giving it their all out on the golf course!  Next up for the team is the KVA Conference tournament all day Thursday at Milham Park!  Go Colts!

9-22 - Comstock Kate Kwasny Invitational

The Varsity golf team hosted the Kate Kwasny Memorial Tournament at Eastern Hills on Thursday.  Sophomore newcomer Emily Dodson continued to impress and was the low scorer on the day (103). 2nd year player Abby House (104) found her ryhthm and improved 10 strokes over her score from last years event. The day was a wonderful celebration of life and dedicated to the memory and motto of former CHS teacher Miss Kwasny... "Education CHANGES LIVES".  She certainly did, as did this tournament for all of us who participated! Golf is a microcosm of life, learning to face and overcome adversity teaches such Incredible life lessons!  GO COLTS!!!

9-20 - KVA Kalamazoo Christian Jamboree - Crestview

On an absolutely perfect night for golf, the CHS girls golf team competed at the KCHRISTIAN KVA event at Crestview where sophomore Abby House fired her low score of the season shooting a top 10 qualifying 47!  Also playing well were senior Lauren Bonds with a 52 and sophomore Emily Dodson with a 55! Playing well in her first event was senior Arreona Blakely! The Varsity hosts the Kate Kwasny memorial on Thursday at Eastern Hills! Always wonderful to carry on Ms Kwasny's spirit! GO COLTS!

9-12 - KVA Lake Michigan Jamboree - Lake Michigan Hills

The girls golf team continues to improve as they narrowed the gap on the rest of the field last night at the KVA Jamboree at Lake Michigan Hills! Senior Lauren Bonds placed 4th overall with a fine 46, also playing well were teammates Abby House, Emily Dodson and Leah Petrick. The team hosts the 10th Annual Deb Dart Memorial tournament at Hickory Ridge on Friday!

9-7 - KVA Comstock Jamboree - Eastern Hills

The CHS Girls Golf team hosted the KVA jamboree at Eastern Hills last night and improved their overall team score by 11 strokes from the previous event! Senior Lauren Bonds led the team with a 55, newcomers Emily Dodson and Katie Rooney continue to improve! 

9-7 KVA Jamboree at Eastern Hills

8-29 - KVA Michigan Lutheran Jamboree - Blossom Trails

The Girl's Varsity Golf Team traveled to Blossom Trails Golf Course and competed in the 1st KVA Golf Jamboree placing 4th out 5.  Sophomore Abby House shot a 52, finishing 1 stroke out of the top 10.  Also doing a great job was Sophomore Emily Dodson who fired a 56 finishing just a few shots back of the top of the field in her first conference golf event!!!!  The next jamboree will be on Wed., Sept. 12th as the team hosts the conference jamboree at Eastern Hills.  

8-19 - GK Tourney
CHS team placed 7th out of 11 teams, senior Lauren Bonds fires 89 to finish in 4th place! 

8-18 - Gull Lake Invitational
Gull Lake Varsity golf tournament rained out after 1/2 way point!
