Rocket League Comstock vs Hartford 3-0
Our starters in this match was Lindsey Block, Ryan Beroza, and Trey Kohler. Our first match of the tournament went very well, we came out strong and ended strong against Hartford giving a 3 to 0 match win. Our kids were talking throughout the whole match giving us a good flow in the game and high fives all around on the win moving us up to semi finals.
Rocket League Comstock vs Paw Paw 3-0
Our starters in this match was Lindsey Block, Ryan Beroza, and Trey Kohler. Paw Paw gave us a close match during the regular season lineups so we were prepared for a potential struggle. We kept up good communication and rotation in all three matches allowing for us to take the W to move us into the Final round. The kids were ecstatic to to defend our recently acquired title.
Rocket League Comstock vs Buchanan 1-3
Our starters were Austin Block, Ryan Beroza, and Trey Kohler. We had a few hiccups in the first 2 matches with the first match being very close. Lindsey was subbed in on the 3rd to see if we can change the flow of the game and gave us our first match win making it 1-2. On the next match it came down to overtime on a tied up game and Buchanan put in a hard to block and beautiful air dribble to a double tap shot off the back board giving them the 3rd match win and the title. We held our heads up high and congratulated Buchanan on the win. Very good game! But we will be back for the belt in the Spring!
Valorant Comstock vs St Joe 16-18
Our starters for this match was Drew Chapman, Devlin Driscoll, Ivan Polhamus, Austin Block and Logan Hegedus. This match was amazing, we were neck and neck with St Joe going round for round back and forth with the game lasting 34 rounds! The longest match to have been played in the league that day but alas St Joe was able to take a 2 round win on us toward the end. The kids all had a ton of fun and they couldn’t stop saying how epic that match was! What a game!
Valorant Comstock vs Watervilet 13-0
We went into this match with no breaks from our match with St Joe so using the same lineup of players we began our match with Watervilet. We took what we had in the previous match and applied it against Watervilet allowing for us to start the match leading early and holding onto the momentum as the match progressed, great job Colts!
Valorant Comstock vs Lawrence 4-13
This match I subbed out Ivan Polhamus and Logan Hegedus with Derick Phares and Daulten Duncan to go against Lawrence. The match started out going back and forth until Lawrence was able to gain some momentum into the 6th round. Lawrence has shown us some new tactics and we hope to build on what we learned! The kids were still happy with their performance and are excited to return in the Spring! Go Colts!
10-12 Valorant - Comstock 0 - Buchanan 13
Buchanon brought their A game and continue to show there presence in this league. We will definitely look back on this match to reflect on what strategies were out into play and how we can improve. Drew Chapman, Devlin Driscoll, Ivan Polhamus, Logan Hegedus and Austin Block were already planning their next steps to help improve their gameplay. Way to stay on target everyone! Go Colts!
10-10 Rocket - Comstock 3 - Marcellus 0
Another great game from our team! Today we had Ryan Beroza, Trey Kohler, Austin Block and Lindsey Block participate in the matchup against the Marcellus Wildcats. We are really beginning to get in sync and am excited to see our progress throughout the rest of this season! Go Colts!
10-2 Rocket - Comstock 3 - Lawrence 0
Great game Colts! I loved the communication and improvements on our rotation. We have solidified our defense so that we may capitalize on our offense and it truly shown hear today. Ryan Beroza, Trey Kohler and Austin Block were in top shape for this matchup! Go Colts!
9-28 Valorant - Comstock 13 - Watervliet 1
Today was a good start to our Valorant season, Drew Chapman, Daulten Duncan, Devlin Driscoll, Ivan Polhamus, and Austin Block shown great form today against the Watervilet Panthers. High fives and good plays were being rung out throughout the ESports room as the match progressed and I am happy to see the strong bonds between our players! Go Colts!
9-26 Rocket - Comstock 0 - Buchanan 3
Today was a tough match up against the previous champs of Rocket League the Buchanan Bucks. We had some issues with rotation and got found out of place when defending, but even then each match was close. It is good for us to see this early on and our players are holding their heads up high because they know what we need to work on. Great game to the Bucks and our team!
