The girls basketball team played their best game of the season last night.  Amanda Clapper had an amazing night going for 23 points, 13 rebounds, 7 steals and 6 assists.  Morgan Baker and Mistie McMakin also had great evenings.  Morgan had 6 steals and 6 offensive rebounds and Mistie jump started us in the 2nd quarter with a big 3 pointer and another outside 2 pointer.  Danissa Woods came off the bench with a ton of energy grabbing 7 rebounds for us.  Katie Leaders had a great 3rd quarter getting 8 points.  Morgan Day, Mistie McMakin, Amanda Clapper and Danissa Woods combinded for 10 blocks in the game.

2-5 - Comstock 52 - South Haven 53

The girls were down by 12 points late in the 3rd quarter before exploding with 25 points in the 4th quarter.  Down by 2 points with less than a minute to play, Ashley Cross was fouled on a 3 point attempt and nailed all 3 free throws to give Comstock a 1 point lead before South Haven came down and hit a last second shot to win the game.  Jenna Munn led the Colts with 15 points followed by Ashley Cross with 14 and Amanda Clapper with 11.

1-29 - Comstock 25 - Coloma 19

The varsity girls basketball team beat Coloma last night. The girls did a great job grinding it out to get the win. Katie Leaders and Jenna Munn each had 2 huge baskets in the 4th quarter. Morgan Baker continues to play with a lot of energy and Mistie McMakin did a superb job on defense.

1-18 - Comstock - Vicksburg

1-15 - Comstock 44 - Edwardsburg 28

The Colts had a good all around game vs Edwardsburg.  After down 8-3 early in the first quarter, the Colts put things together to go up 25-14 at the half.  Amanda Clapper led the colts with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Ashley Cross added 11 with 2 three pointers and Morgan Baker had a solid game with 8 points and going 4 for 4 from the free throw line.

1-11 - Comstock Plainwell

The Colts had a tough time getting going vs Plainwell.  Amanda Clapper had a strong game with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

1-8 - Comstock 25 - Allegan 50

The varsity girls basketball team lost to Allegan last night.  The girls had a tough time finding their groove.  Morgan Baker, Ari Stewart and Katie Leaders did a nice job of limiting their best player in points but it was not enough to get the win.

12-29 - Comstock 49 - Cassapolis 27

The girls came out ready to play and jumped out to a 12-0 lead.  Ashley Cross led the Colts with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Jenna Munn also chipped in 12 with 9 rebounds and 5 assists.  Amanda Clapper chipped in 9, had 9 rebounds and also 8 steals.

12-28 - Comstock 26 - Parchment 58

The Panthers' fast pace of play kept the Colts on their toes their entire evening.  While it was a disappointing loss, there were still some positives and a belief that we can get to that level.  Amanda Clapper led the Colts with 9 points and 10 rebounds and Morgan Day had her best game of the year scoring 7 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.

12-18 - Comstock 46 - Dowagiac 28

The varsity girls basketball team beat Dowagiac last night. Amanda Clapper just missed out on a triple double scoring 15 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and having 9 steals. Ashley Cross and Jenna Munn scored 11 and 9 points. Mistie McMakin continues to give us lots of energy off the bench.

12-14 - 46 - Paw Paw 65

The girls came out and played a great first quarter but got into foul trouble in the 2nd quarter and couldn't keep up.  Ashley Cross had 11 points and Jenna Munn had 9.  Mistie McMakin came off the bench to score 4 points and grab 9 rebounds for her best game of the year.

12-11 - Comstock 35 - Three Rivers 55

The varsity girls basketball team played tough against Three Rivers but lost last night.  Amanda Clapper scored 10 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.  Morgan Baker also chipped in 10 points.  Ashley Cross kept it competitive with her excellent point guard play.

12-7 - Comstock 36 - Otsego 55

The girls were down 2 points at half time but were unable to keep up after half.  Ashley Cross and Ari Stewart led the Colts with 8 points each while Amanda Clapper pulled down 8 rebounds.

11-30 - Comstock 34 - Vicksburg 44

The varsity girls basketball team lost a tough game to Vicksburg 44-34 on Friday night.  Katie Leaders did an awesome job throughout the night leading the team with 13 points and 8 rebounds.  Amanda Clapper also chipped in 11 and had 9 rebounds. 

11-27 - Comstock 26 - Marshall 62

The Lady Colts lost to Marshall last night. The effort was definitely there and something to build upon. Morgan Baker led the Colts with 8 points and Amanda Clapper pulled down 11 rebounds.
