5-29 - MHSAA District Semi - Comstock 0 - Jonesville 1

Jonesville came just as ready to play as we did. A very even game from start to finish. We had many chances to score and simply couldn't find the back of the net. While Jonesville had less opportunities, with Summer Beavers shutting them out in the run of play, they did convert a penalty kick in the first half. They managed to hold off our potent attack to beat us 0-1. Great season playing short-handed the whole way, both coaches are very proud of this team, and the courage these Colts showed the whole way.

5-15 - Comstock 0 - Quincy 8

We hosted Quincy for senior night. The 3 seniors, Anna Putti, Summer Beavers and Paisley Meyle were honored.  The game had the unfortunate result of a 0-8 loss to close out regular season play. vGoalie Summer Beavers recorded 28 saves as we were bombarded by a high-speed Quincy offense as we bravely played with 8 total players. Proud of the season and looking forward to Districts!

5-12 - Comstock 0 - Buchanan 8

The Colts traveled to Buchanan for a non-conference match. The hosts proved too fast and accurate and it was 0-5 at halftime. Despite terrific saves from goalie Summer Beavers, the game ended as Buchanan scored 3 more goals.

5-8 - Comstock 6 - Hartford 1

We concluded conference play with an away game vs Hartford. The hosts came out ready to defend their field and scored first. We found a way to score with a tiggt angle shot by Rowan Hagenbuch. We went into halftime we had tied it up 1-1.  The 2nd half was one-sided as the Colt offense found its rhythm. Rowan completed her hat trick with assists by Anna Putti. Then it was Anna's turn to score, putting on fine dribbling and shooting displays, getting assists by Rowan and sophomore Ella Harris.  The 6th goal for the Colts came from a punt by goalie Summer Beavers as sophomore Bree Parker collected the ball, and dribbled through the defense and fired home.

5-1 - Comstock 3 - Bangor 0

We took on a very much improved Bangor team at their house, for our second meeting with them this season. A very tight first half ended with us leading 1-0 on a goal from Anna Putti, assisted by Rowan Hagenbuch. After half-time adjustments to the gameplan, we fired in 2 more goals to finish with a 3-0 victory. Rowan and Anna each had 1 and assisted each other in the 2nd half. Freshman Rose DeLeeuw showed everyone in attendance the meaning of relentless pursuit. Newcomers Abby Welsh and Hannah Johnson played their best game yet, and Senior Summer Beavers had a shutout in goal behind the great defensive work of Sophomores Bree Parker, Ella Harris and Kendyl Harris. A great day for the Colts!

4-29 - Comstock 5 - Bloomingdale 3

Excellent weather provided the setting for a home match vs conference foe Bloomingdale. The visitors came out firing and quickly went up 1-0 as the Colts fielded 8 players. We tied the game and never looked back. Rowan Hagenbuch scored an amazing 5-goals, with 3 being assisted by Anna Putti. Our defensive 3-back-line of Kendyl Harris, Ella Harris, and Bree Parker was hard to beat, and goalie Summer Beavers registered 20 saves. Hannah Johnson and Abby Welsh continue to provide positive touches and gain valuable experience and were in the right places at the right times. Final score, 5-3 for the Colts!

4-15 - Comstock 5 - Bangor 2

We hosted a Bangor team that was up to the challenge. It was a hard fought game and both sides played up to their abilities. The Colts jumped out to a 3-goal lead with Sophomore Rowan Hagenbuch finding the back of the net, assisted by Senior Anna Putti. It was Anna's turn to score, as she struck after dispossessing a defender of the ball. Rowan added another 2 goals - 1 of which assisted by Anna - to complete a hat trick. Anna scored a second goal, making it a 5-2 conference win at home.

4-12 - Comstock 2 - Hartford 9

The Colts took on Hartford on a very windy day, at home. We went into halftime down 0-7 as Hartford took full advantage of having 3 more players on the field, amd the wind at their backs. The game ended 2-9 as we hung on and fought until the end, sticking in a couple goals of our own. Anna Putti and Rowan Hagenbuch each scored and assisted each other, while senior goalie Summer Beavers recorded 21 saves.

4-10 - Comstock 5 - Bloomingdale 3 - Scrimmage

We borrowed players from hosts Bloomingdale in order to have a competitive scrimmage. Bloomingdale fired in 2 early goals before Anna Putti answered, scoring off a punt-assist by backup goalie Rowan Hagenbuch. Bloomingdale scored again to make it 3-1 at halftime. The 2nd half was all the other way as Rowan - now on the field - struck the back of the net, assisted by Anna. Bloomingdale - to their credit - generously gave us 2 players that scored for us, putting us ahead 4-3. Bloomingdale pushed hard for the equalizer, but Freshman Abby Welsh ran down a loose ball in the Bloomingdale penalty area and shut the door with her first goal of her career! Scoring 4 goals in the 2nd half while letting in zero is definitely a highlight. Lily Gilbert and Rowan each bravely took a half in goal.

4-4 - Comstock 2 - Parchment 4 - Scrimmage

To kick off the season the Colts hosted Parchment. A young lineup took the field which had only 2 players above sophomore year. Playing for the Colts for the first time were Freshmen Kathy Ballesteros, Rose DeLeeuw, and Abby Welsh.  Parchment took advantage of early opportunities and jumped to a 3-goal lead. However we never gave up and put in 2 goals of our own, from senior sophomore Rowan Hagenbuch assisted by Anna Putti.
