5-1 - Comstock 0 - Bangor 5

It was Bangor that got the better of Comstock on a warm May evening. The girls are improving every game, and this one may have been a lot closer than the scoreline suggests. Savannah Derksen courageously stepped in at goalkeeper for us, as we were short a few girls. Athena Phillips and Nicole Silvas have been doing a fantastic job as our fullbacks, giving us some much needed stability on defense. Melonie Carey had a good game as well. The girls are definitely showing a greater understanding of the game as the season progresses. We will try and build off this performance.

4-29 - Comstock 0 - Bloomingdale 8

The Colts struggled to cope with the Cardinals in this one. Ultimately it was Bloomingdale’s experience that made the difference. Astro Barber did a great job anchoring our midfield. Sydney Woods once again showed off her potential to be a great player playing out wide, as did Yaliha Cortez. We are beginning to look more threatening offensively. A big reason for that is Taylor Roberts-Thomas and Maddex DeGraw continuing to improve, and developing some chemistry on the field.

4-25 - Comstock 0 - Calhoun Christian 8

Not our best effort on Thursday night, but the ladies got some more game experience. Our next game will be at home on Monday against Bloomingdale.

4-17 - Comstock 0 - Hartford B 4

The Colts fell to Hartford on a windy Wednesday night. Nicole Silvas had another good game; her consistent performance gives us some much needed stability. I’m also very proud of how Letty Spurr responded to adversity after the 1st half. The girls will be back in action next week Thursday, as we take on Calhoun Christian on the road.

4-15 - Comstock 0 - Bangor 6

Bangor got the better of the young Colts on Monday night, but the girls showed noticeable improvement. I am very encouraged by the conversations we’re having as a team. And I believe we can become more competitive if we keep working hard.

4-12 - Comstock 0 - Hartford 8

The lady Colts took on a good Hartford team Friday night. It wasn’t our greatest performance so far, but the team is starting to show a lot more desire to improve.  That desire should serve us well during our next practices.

4-10 - Comstock 0 - Bloomingdale 10

The young Colts took on Bloomingdale in their first away game of the season. I see a lot of potential in this group, but our inexperience will be apparent over the first handful of games.

Melonie Carey and Maddex DeGraw gave us a spark in midfield every time they touched the ball. Athena Phillips was great defensively, playing physical and winning the ball. Sydney Woods gave great effort throughout the game.

We will hope to take some lessons from this game and move on to the next.

4-4 - Comstock 0 - Parchment 8

The girls had their first game of the season on Thursday night. They defended well for the first 15 minutes, but Parchment was able to score, and our team’s inexperience showed a bit after that.

Ayva Dozeman had a great game, winning the ball several times. Aubrey Bavin helped out on defense and in goal. Lydia Martinez made some awesome saves in the 1st half. Taylor Roberts-Thomas showed some impressive dribbling ability in her first game.

I’m very proud of the girls, and I’m excited to see how much this group improves over the next few weeks.
