We continued looking into "what makes the change?" Pages 31-33. We complete activity 4.2 that introduced Metamorphic rocks.  Our activity involved heating and cooling Silly Putty.  We tested some variables and recorded data into our science workbooks. Homework is to read 4.2 reading, pages 34-35

Today we made models of the earth and its tectonics plates. After completing the models we discussed how they help us understand plate tectonics and we look at the models limitations. Kids are responsible for pages 27-28.  Homework if not completed.

Today's Materials: Computer Parts Microsoft Paint, Drag and Drop Computer Parts    Warm-Up K-1st 2nd 3rd-4th Lesson: Computer Parts We're learning about the different parts of the computer: mouse, keyboard, monitor, CPU, speaker, printer, and power supply. Daily Routine: Mouse and Typing Practice All students will have mouse or typing practice during each Technology Class! Each day, as soon as the students log on to the computers, they will each complete a mouse or typing activity based on their grade-level.  I will walk around the room and watch the students' skills! When 10-15 minutes of practice is up, we will start the weekly lesson! Expectations K-1 Grade Kindergartners and first graders will start with mouse practice.    Make a Face Shape Construction 2nd Grade Second graders will start with a keyboard game. The Keyboard Game 3rd and 4th Grade Third and fourth graders will move right into Typing.com. Typing.com

 Today's Materials: Kindergarten and First Login Practice, Login Practice Over the next few weeks, the students of Green Meadow and North Elementary will have their first computer class! This blog will be used by the students each time they come into class. This blog will share the day's agenda, and will also showcase the new technology that the students are learning in the classroom. Day One: The 3 Bs and Logging On The 3 Bs The 3 Bs are Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. This is what the 3 Bs look like in our classroom.   Logging On All students are required to sign in to each computer they use with their own personal username and password. All students follow a pattern for their usernames. I will not share their passwords on this blog. Your username is your full last name, plus the first four letters of your first name.
