Keyboarding! All students have been practicing their keyboarding skills!  Kindergarten and First Grade Kindergartners and first graders can find all of the letters on the keyboard using Keyboard Zoo. They are taking very good care of the keyboard by tapping gently on the keys.  Second Grade Second graders have been practicing capitalizing letters using the "shift" key. Keyboard Climber 2 is the perfect game to practice their skills.  Third and Fourth Grade The third and fourth graders have been working hard using "home row" to improve their speed and accuracy. Typing.com is a fun website that tracks their scores! Mr. Sasak's 4th grade class is leading in the WPM (words per minute) race!

What are K-4th students doing in Physical Education with Mrs.Odell?
We have most of our routines established, attendance numbers learned for PE helper roles, and have learned the importance of listening so we can get as much movement as possible into our short block of PE time.
September was getting to know you games and games using personal and shared space, safely.
October is focused on the skills of catching and overhand throwing using games involving target throwing.
Ask your student the proper throw form.  (Stand sideways, letter T, ball to ear, step, twist, throw!)
