ATHLETICS FOOTBALL: Football sign-ups are outside Mr. Ansel's office. Everyone interested in playing next fall needs to sign up by Monday, March 19. Our new head football coach is going to be introduced on Tuesday, March 27, and he wants to know how many kids are interested in playing. There will be more information to come on the introduction night. BANQUET: The varsity and freshman girls’ basketball teams are having their end of the season banquet on Thursday, March 22nd, at 7 pm in the HS library. PHYSICALS: Spring Physicals will be offered by Dr. Hunt at the HS on Friday, March 23, at 2:30 pm. Please bring $30 cash for the physical. MISCELLANEOUS ATTENTION SENIORS: Herff-Jones delivered senior announcements yesterday. If a balance is due on your order, it must be paid in full by cash or money order before receiving your merchandise. If you were not able to pick up your order on March 15th, they are available in 108-1. If any seniors haven't heard, we have changed the look of the cap and gown - you will no longer purchase them ~ you will rent them. If you would like to see a sample, please see Mrs. Grueter. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Grueter or Mrs. Deibler in room 108-1. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: Hey Students, NHS will be selling stickers for HAT DAY March 19-28th! We are supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help them research a cure. For only $3, you can wear a hat on Thursday, March 29th. You will need to wear the sticker sold at lunch in order to get away with wearing your hat the day before Spring Break begins. There will be over 50 employers on Thursday, April 19th, at WMU’s Bernhard Center seeking 11th and 12th grade students for full-time, part-time, and summer employment. “Sign up in the counseling office, space is limited.” YEARBOOKS: Yearbooks are on sale now for $55.00 the price will go up to $60.00 dollars on April 1st so get your 2012 Yearbook now! STUDENT SERVICES COMSTOCK EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (CEA) SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION: The Scholarship Committee of the Comstock Education Association is now accepting applications for the Comstock Education Association scholarship. Any interested seniors should see Mrs. Vereeke for an application. The deadline is April 25th. KAMSC: Attention Students - KAMSC is currently recruiting upper classman (9-11th graders) If you are interested in possibly becoming a KAMSC student, please see Mrs. Stewart in Student Services. SENIORS PURSUING A TEACHING DEGREE! The Kate Kwasny Teaching Scholarship applications are now available. This scholarship is for Comstock High School students only, created in 2007 as a memorial to Ms. Kwasny, our beloved business teacher. Please see Mrs.Vereeke in Student Services for an application. This generous scholarship will pay $2,500 a year, with provisions to renew annually up to a maximum of $10,000 in financial assistance. Application deadline is April 1st. Sophomores and Juniors interested in Dual Enrollment: - sign up on Mrs. Stewart's door. ______________________________________________________________________________ STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS: The new bus team members starting today are Miller, Morris, Morse, and Nord which will run through Mar. 16th. Starting Mar. 19th the new team members are Poulson, Reed, Rodwan, Spada and Staton and this will run through Mar. 30h. THANK YOU!
