5-14 Comstock Girls Invite Results

6-2 - MHSAA State Meet
Three runners from the Comstock Varsity Track Team competed in the state finals, in Comstock Park. Two athletes earned all state accolades, with the other barely missing out on all state. Kendrick Davis finished 7th in the state with a PR jump of 6'4". Jordan Baker finished 3rd in the state in the 400M dash with a time of 58.34 seconds. Cal Cummins missed all state honors by 1/100th of a second in the 400M dash, with a time of 51.21 seconds. It was an amazing season for these three athletes, with two of them returning next year looking for first place finishes.

5-22 - Wolverine Conference Invitational
Comstock - 9th out of 9 teams
The Comstock Track Team ended it's season on a high note yesterday at the Wolverine Conference Track Meet. Many runners ran PR's yesterday, including Abby Johnson in the 800M run and Amber Salome in the discus and Josh Mussche in the 400M dash. Earning the honor of conference champion was Jordan Baker in the 400 and the relay team of Amanda Clapper, Brook Munson, Jasmine Small and Jordan Baker in the 4X400 relay. Jordan Baker also broke a 34 year old conference record held by Comstocks Brenda Ray in the 400M dash with a time of 58.45 seconds. Great job to the whole track team on one of the more successful seasons in recent memory.

5-18 - MHSAA Regionals
The Comstock Varsity Track Team preformed very well Friday at regionals. Three Comstock runners qualified for the state meet, June 2nd at Comstock Park.  State qualifiers were Kendrick Davis, who took first in the high jump clearing 6'3". Cal Cummins took first in the 800M run and second in the 400M dash. Jordan Baker took first in the 400M dash and third in the 200M dash. Overall the Comstock Track team had a very strong outing, placing sixth out of fifteen teams.

5-14 - Comstock Invitational
Comstock - Division 3&4 Champions
The Comstock Boys and Girls Varsity Track Team both took home first place trophies at the Comstock Invitational. An all around great effort from both teams, helped take home the trophies. Finishing first Jordan Baker in the 400M dash, both setting a PR.  Jordan also took first in the 200M dash. Jasmine Small took first in the 100M dash.  Abby Johnson set PR's in her race also. The team is peaking at the right time with regional's being held on Friday.

5-4 - Bangor Invitational
For the second week in a row, Jordan Baker set a invitational record in the 400M dash. Her time of 59.2 seconds is the best in the Kalamazoo area this year. Abby Johnson had her best race of the season in the 800 m run, Justine Baker and Keyana Allen had strong performances as well.

4-24 - Comstock Dual
Comstock 21 - Paw Paw 103
Jordan Baker avenged her only defeat of the season, by edging her rival and winning the 400M dash. Jasmine Small took first in the 100M dash and second in the 300 hurdles. Other girls taking second or third were Sydnee Baker in the 1600 and 800, Brook Munson in the 200M dash and Amber Salome in the discus. Great job Comstock and keep working hard.

4-17 - Plainwell Dual
Comstock 34 - Plainwell 92
The Comstock Varsity Track Team lost a tough dual meet with Plainwell, 92-34. Jordan Baker took first in the 400M dash........again with a time of 60.47 seconds, her fastest of the season. She also took first in long jump, with Keyana Allen taking second. Mistie Mcmakin took first in the shot put and Natalie miles took second in the 100 hurdles. Jasmine Small took two second places in the 300M hurdles and 100M dash.

The Comstock Varsity Track Team took part in a four team dual Thursday night.  Jordan Baker continued to impress, by dominating the 400M dash. Misty Mcmakin took third in the shot put and the relay team of Amanda Clapper, Mikayla Hicks, Jordan Baker and Brook Munson took third in the 1600M relay. The improvement could be seen throughout the team, but there is a lot of season left. Attitude and hard work is going to make the difference. 

3-27 Dual - Comstock 22 - Hopkins 111
Jordan Baker had a big debut, finishing first in the 400M dash and taking second in the long jump. Natalie Miles took two seconds and a third in her events and Amanda Clapper, Ashley Cross and Shelby Green proved they are more than just good soccer players, by taking second and third in their events.
