Devin Johnson started the Colts off with a line drive single down the left field line and scored on a sacrifice fly to center by Brandon Haller, but despite having runners on base in the 2nd, 4th, 5th, bases loaded in the 6th and two on in the 7th, the Colts couldn't muster another run off Berrien Springs right handed pitcher, Kyle Rago. Two errors and a misplay by the Colts in the fourth led to two Berrien Spring runs and an RBI single by Carl Steinhouser nailed down a Berrien Spring win and advancement to the Regional finals and a Colt 1-3 loss. Devin Johnson and Ryan Wright had two hits apiece for the Colts who end up a fine season, 28-9.

The Colts made it interesting, jumping out to a 9-2 lead on 2 RBI doubles by Chad Paddock and Bryan Moore and an RBI single by Brad Mayne and then committed 4 errors in the last two innings as South Haven mounted a comeback. Comstock held on for a 9-6 win to advance to the semi-finals at WMU on Saturday at 10 AM

Chad Paddock had 3 hits and 3 RBI, Mikey Derhammer blasted out 2 triples and Devin Johnson pitched four strong innings for the win and Mason Groll picked up a save. The Colts travel west to open up Wolverine Conference Tournament play at either South Haven or Edwardsburg.

The Colts wrapped up a great weekend of baseball with two wins over Otsego, 9-0, 6-3, to finish out Divisional play and then took games over Bangor, 13-2 and Fennville 15-8 to take the 42nd Annual Bangor Tournament trophy. 
 
On Friday, Bryan Moore and Brandon Haller shut-out Otsego while Chad Paddock and Ryan Wright had three hits apiece.  Ryan drove in three RBI and Devin Johnson and Austin Lansky drove in two apiece.  In the second game the Colts came from behind on the strength of three wild pitches and a two out, bases loaded, infield drawn in two RBI single up the middle by Ryan Eames.
 
On Saturday,Dylan Wright and AT Lansky combined to hold Bangor to five hits while Dylan and Shane Easter had three hits apiece and Bailey Haller came up big with two hits and three RBI.  In the second game, Tim Thomas got the call up and gave the Colts two much needed innings on the mound while Shane Easter, Devin Johnson, AT and Chad Paddock wrapped out two hits each and AT drove in 4 runs.

The Colts continued hitting the ball and running the bases well as they swept Plainwell last night behind the pitching of Bryan Moore, Brandon Haller, Mason Groll, Ryan Eames and Shane Easter, 10 - 6 and 8 - 2. Shane had 5 hits and 4 RBI for the night, Dylan Wright had 5 hits and 3 RBI and Brandon and Mason had 3 hits apiece. Bailey Haller played great defense for the Colts who travel to Otsego on Friday for a final conference match-up and then to Bangor on Saturday.

The Colts bats made it rain runs as Comstock swept divisional conference Allegan Friday night winning 11-1 and 11-1. Bryan Moore pitched 3 hit ball for six innings while Shane Easter, Devin Johnson and Chad Paddock had two hits apiece. Austin Lansky had four hits and 2 RBI's and Brandon Haller came in in relief to nail down the first game. In the rain soaked night cap, Brandon again took the mound for the win as Shane and Devin had two hits, Dylan Wright and Austin had three apiece, and Chad Paddock had four hits and drove in three runs. A fine team effort. The Colts host Plainwell on Tuesday.

It was the Brandon Haller show as he and Devin Johnson combined to hold Kalamazoo Christian to one unearned run as the offense put the Colts ahead to stay in the first inning for a 10-1 victory for Comstock. Brandon also had a great night at the plate with two hits and 3 RBI. Michael Derhammer, handling the catching for the Colts had 2 RBI as did Ryan Wright. It was a good night for the team as they moved to 10-3 heading into a showdown with Otsego on Friday before coming back home to host Hastings on Saturday.

Dylan Wright struck out 6 Dowagiac batters in 5 innings, Austin Lansky had 3 hits and an RBI and the Colts made some nice defensive plays and had the winning and tying runs on base in the bottom of the 7th but couldn't hold the lead as the Chieftans came from behind to win the first game of last nights doubleheader, 2-3. In the 2nd game, Ryan Wright, Mason Groll and Shane Easter combined to hold Dowagiac in check as Austin ripped out 2 more hits and 2 more RBI's along with RBI by Devin Johnson and Chad Paddock as the Colts took the game 6-1. Comstock hosts Kalamazoo Christian tonight in a single game starting at 4:30. Thanks to those of you who came out and braved the cold weather to help us out. We appreciate your support.

The Colts ran into some stiff competition Friday night and wound up dropping two games to Conference rival Vicksburg, 3-5 and 1-4.  Austin Lansky had two doubles and 3 RBI in the first game to lead the Colts offense, but the Bulldogs came ready to play. On Saturday the Varsity and JV played in Comstock's 20th Annual 100 Inning Game with the Blue team winning over the White team 36-35.  It was a great day for baseball and we want to thank all of you who came out to participate and cheer us on. The Colts swept Three Rivers last night in a Conference Varsity Baseball double header, winning 5 -1 and 11-0. While everyone contributed to the two wins, Shane Easter had a five hit four RBI night, Dylan Wright had a four hit three RBI night, Chad Paddock had a six hit five RBI night while Brandon Haller picked up his first win of the season and Bryan Moore notched his second save as the Colts moved to 8 - 0. Friday at 4 Vicksburg comes to town for the first Divisional match-up of the season. A special thank your to those of you who traveled to Three Rivers to be part of the excitement.

The Colts continued on their Spring Break tear taking 2 on Saturday at the Jackie Robinson Classic. The Colts won their first game over the Kalamazoo Cougars, 11 - 1 behind the 7K 2 hit pitching performance of Dylan Wright and 3 RBI's from Ryan Eames and a big game behind the plate from Mike Derhammer. In the second game the Colts beat Benton Harbor 12-1 as Ryan Wright and Bryan Moore combined to hold the Tigers to 3 hits while Chad Paddock drove in 3 runs, stole a base and had a great sliding catch. Devin Johnson and AT Lansky had 2 RBI's apiece. The Colts got clutch performances from everyone on the team as they got off to their best start in years.

The varsity Baseball team opened up with a sweep of Delton last night winning 8-1 and 4-2. In the first game Dylan Wright and Shane Easter combined to hold the Panthers to 1 hit and led the offense, Dylan driving in 3 runs and banging out a double and Shane coming up with a single, double and triple. Ryan Eames had a big game with 2 hits and 2 rbi's. AT Lansky had a double and Ryan Wright and Devin Johnson each had a hit. In the second game, Ryan Wright and Bryan Moore held Delton in check while Chad Paddock and Ryan Eames drove in runs and Devin, Shane and Michael Derhammer came up with big hits. AT got hit 3 times during the 2 games and Brandon and Bailey Haller and Mason Groll had great defensive games for the Colts. The team travels to Parchment next Tuesday at 2.
