2-24 - MHSAA Regional Bowling


Boy’s varsity bowling finished the season out Saturday at the MHSAA regional singles competition in Battle Creek, the boys bowled 6 games over 6 pair of lanes. Eric Miller was the high finisher coming in 24th out of 90, Eric started out fast with games of 206 & 182, he bowled steady the next 3 staying in the top 20 each round, Eric struggled the final game finishing with a 1008 total, well above his average. Logan Hicks also bowled well about his average and coming in 57th in his first tournament.

2-16 - KVA Conference Tournament

Boys varsity bowling finished conference play Friday at the KVA conference tournament, the boys bowled well all day finishing 5th overall and shooting their season high 790 game and 1537 series. Eric Miller led the boys with a 208 game 342 series, Hunter DeLeon was close behind with a 182 game 334 series, shooting their personal best games and series were Logan Hicks 180/314 and Jeffery Koss 171/296. The boys finished 8th in conference with a record of 5 wins 12 losses and 1 tie, Eric Miller was honorable mention.

17-18 - KVA Conference Tournament

Boys varsity bowling dropped a close one Monday night at home vs Parchment 11 – 19, the loss brings them to 5 – 11 – 1 on the season. The boys started the match splitting the bakers and winning baker total. The boys found themselves down by 80 pins late in the first regular game, they made a late push and fell just 2 pins short, the boys struggled the 2nd game, they pulled out 3 points but fell short for the game. Hunter DeLeon led the boys with a 184 game, Eric Miller added a 160 and Sam Dyer shot a 137. Last conference match Wednesday vs Schoolcraft, Continental Lanes, 4:00pm start.

2-7 - Comstock 16 - Hackett 14

Boys varsity bowling was on the road Wednesday night against Hackett, it was a close battle all night with Comstock coming out with a big win 16 – 14, the win brings them to 5 wins 10 losses and 1 tie on the season.  The match started with the teams splitting the baker games, then in the first regular game the boys found themselves down by over 60 pins late in the game, they then put on a big charge and won the game by just 4 pins 772 – 768. They needed only 2 points in the 2nd game to win the match. Eric Miller was high for the boys with a 182 game, Sam Dyer shot his personal best 287 series, Logan hicks added a 164, Hunter DeLeon with a 159 and Jeffery Koss ties his personal best 145 game. Next match is Monday at home vs Parchment, 5:30 start time at Eastland bowl.

2-5 - Comstock 22 - Martin 8

Boys varsity bowling came away with a much needed win 22 - 8 Monday night on the road against Martin, the win brings them to 4 wins 10 losses and 1 tie. The boys got off to a slow start splitting the baker games and losing total by just 1 pin. The first regular game was close the entire way, but pulled out the win, the second regular was never in question with the boys shooting there season high 758 game and securing the win. Hunter Deleon was high with a 187 game, Eric Miller shot a 186, Logan Hicks added a nice 159 and Jeffery Koss shot his personal best 256 series. Next match is Wednesday Vs Hackett at Continental lanes, 4:00 start time.

1-29 - Comstock 15 - Galesburg-Augusta 15

Boys varsity bowling were at home Monday night against Galesburg Augusta, the match was close from wire to wire, splitting both the baker games and regular game in route to a 15 – 15 tie, the tie brings them to 3-1/2 – 9-1/2 on the season. Eric Miller was high for the boys with a 211 game, Hunter DeLeon added a nice 179 and Logan Hicks shot his personal best 301 series, the boys also shot there season high 731 game and 1422 series. Next match with be Wednesday at home vs K-Christian, 5:00pm start time at Eastland.

1-24 - Comstock Loss vs Bronson

Boys varsity bowling lost Wednesday night on the road against conference leading and undefeated Bronson, the loss brings them to 3&9 on the season. The boys started out shooting a pair of good baker games, but fell short. The struggles continued in the regular games and were able to pull out just 1 point. Eric Miller shot at high game of 181, Hunter DeLeon added a 152 and Logan Hicks with a 151.

1-22 - Comstock 3 - Coloma 27

Boys varsity bowling was on the road Monday night at Coloma, the boys shot there season high 717 game and 1415 series but in the end lost the match 3 – 27 bringing them to 3 – 8 on the season.  Eric Miller led the boys with a 206 game and his personal best 376 series, Sam Dyer also shot his personal best 157 game. Next match is Wednesday on the road at Bronson, 4:00pm start time at Strike zone in Bronson.

1-17 - Comstock 7 - Constantine 23

Boy’s varsity bowling lost a tough match at home last night to Constantine 7 – 23, the loss puts them a 3 & 7 on the season. The boys bowled well, splitting the baker games, but dropped both regular games. Hunter Deleon lead the boys with a 173 game 302 series, Jeffery Koss shot his personal best 145 game and Logan Hicks shot his personal best 297 series. Next match is Monday on the road vs Coloma, 4:00 start time a Kelly bowl in St. Joe.

1-15 - Comstock 2 - Schoolcraft 28

Boys varsity bowling was in action at home Monday against Schoolcraft, the boys got off to a slow start losing both baker games and were not able to get back on track in regular games losing the match 2 – 28, the loss brings them to 3 & 6 on the season. Eric Miller was high for the boys with 166 game 321 series, next match is Wednesday at home vs Constantine, start time is 3:30 at Eastland bowl.

1-10 - Comstock 3.5 - Parchment 26.5

Boys varsity bowling came up short Wednesday night against Parchment in a 3-1/2 – 26-1/2 loss, the loss brings them to 3 & 4 on the season. Eric Miller lead to boys shooting his personal best 224 game, Logan Hicks also shot his personal best game of 174 and Carter Wingler shot his personal best game of 147 and series of 264. Next match will be at home vs Schoolcraft, 

3:30 start time at Eastland.


1-8 - Comstock 21 - Hackett 9

Boy's varsity bowling started the new year off with a big win  over Hackett Monday night at home 21 - 9, the win brings them to 3 - 4 on the year. The boys started the match winning the 2nd baker game and baker total to head into the regular games up 6-4. In the first regular game they shot there season high 705 game, and followed that up with a 694 for a season high 1399 series. Hunter DeLeon led the boys with a 193 game 352 series, Eric Miller was close behind with a 191 game, 344 series, Logan Hicks shot his personal best 282 series. Next match is Wednesday at Eastland vs Parchment 3:30 start.



12-20 - Comstock 27 - Martin 3

Boys varsity bowling earned a nice win Wednesday night at home vs Martin, to boys got off to a good start splitting the 1

st baker game and winning the next baker and total to go up 8-2 going into regular games. The boys keep it going in regular games winning both in a convincing 27 -3 win, the win brings them to 2 – 4 on the season.  Brandon Schwili shot his personal best 267 series, shooting their personal best games were Logan Hicks 168 and Carter Wingler 127, Carter also shot his season high 219 series. Next match will be Jan 8th at Home vs Hackett, 4:00 pm start at Eastland.



12-18 - Comstock 8 - Kalamazoo Christian 22

Boys varsity bowling lost a hard fought match to K-Christian Monday night 8 – 22, boys got off to a slow start dropping both baker games and the first regular, they came back on won the last regular game. They shot a season high game of 635 and 1261 series, Eric Miller led the boys with his personal best game of 186 and 350 series, Logan Hicks shot his personal best 228 series. Next match is Wednesday at home vs Martin, 5:30 start time at Eastland bowl.

12-14 - Comstock 23 - Galesburg-Augusta 7

Boys varsity bowling earned their first win of the season Thursday night on the road against Galesburg-Augusta, the boys came out strong shooting there season high baker game 179 and series 308. They were able to edge out the first regular game by 2 pins, they also won the 2nd game shooting their season high 618 team game and 1235 series in a 23-7 victory. Hunter Deleon led the way with his personal best 204 game, 361 series, Sam Dyer added his personal best 137 game, 264 series, and Jeff Koss also shot his personal best 114 game, 207 series. The win brings them to 1-3 on the season, next match is Monday night vs Kalamazoo Christian at Airway lanes at 3:00pm.

12-11 - Comstock 1 - Bronson 29

Boy’s varsity bowling was in action Monday night vs Bronson, the boys lost the first baker game by 1 pin 138-139 and dropped the 2nd 117-172, the boys battled but lost both regular game dropping the match 1-29 ,bringing them to 0-3 on the season. Eric Miller lead the boys with a 161 game 308 series, Sam Dyer added a personal best 122. Next match is Thursday vs Galesburg Augusta at Eastland at 5:30.

12-7 - Comstock 1 - Coloma 29

Boy’s varsity bowling had a home match Thursday night vs Coloma, the boys battled to the end but came up short losing the match 1-29, the loss brings them to 0-2 on the season. Hunter Deleon lead the boy’s with his season high 180 game 317 series, Brandon Schwili also shot his season high 143 game 257 series. Next match is Monday the 11th at home vs Bronson, start time 3:30.
