3-3 - Comstock 61 - Gull Lake 54

The JV boys earned a signature win Tuesday against the crosstown, class A opponent Gull Lake by a score of 61-54. Masson Mollohan led the way offensively with 25 points, while DJ Howard and Tarik Ross came up huge with 16 and 12 points respectively. Tarik Ross was a monster on the boards as well working his way to a double double. Also scoring for the Colts were Andre Ford, Michael Brown and Bryce Carter. The Colt have now won 6 of their last 7 games and end their season against parchment Thursday night. 
2-18 - Comstock 45 - Constantine 44


The JV Colts won their 3rd straight against Constantine in come from behind fashion Tuesday. Down by 5 with 1:28, the Colts kept an aggressive defensive mindset forcing 3 straight turnovers down the stretch. With 7 seconds left, Masson Mollohan stepped to the free throw line down by 1. With poise and confident he sunk them both and sealed the victory. Both Mollohan and DJ Howard finished with 18 points a piece. The Colts now shift gears to Berrien Springs Friday. 

2-13 - Comstock 48 - Brandywine 41

The JV Boys picked up win number 2 of the week Thursday night by defeating Brandywine 48-41. Masson Mollohan led the Colts with 27 points, and played suffocating defense down the stretch, forcing 4 straight steals in the 4th quarter. DJ Howard was strong on the boards while also chipping in 11 points, and Amarion White also provided sparks when the Colts needed it, including 6 second half points. The Colts look to keep their winning streak alive this week against Constantine and Berrien Springs. 

2-11 - Comstock 52 - Gobles 26

The JV boys picked up a win over Gobles Tuesday night by a score of 52-26. The Colts' success was due in large part to focus and defensive effort from the opening tip. The offense was paced by Masson Mollohan and DJ Howard with 16 and 17 points respectively. The Colts look to pick up another win against Brandywine at home Thursday night. 

2-7 - Comstock 34 - Buchanan 49

The JV boys lost to Buchanan Friday night by a score of 49-34. The Colts were led offensively by DJ Howard with 22 points, as Masson Mollohan chipped in 12 of his own. The Colts are back in action tomorrow night at home vs. Gobles.

1-30 - Comstock 38 - Parchment 40

The JV boys fell to Parchment Thursday night 40-38 at the hands of a last second shot. The Colts took a 12 point lead into the 3rd quarter, only to see it dwindle due to turnovers. The boys showed heart, and will continue to improve in the second half of the season.

The JV boys dropped their second straight game Tuesday night losing to Olivet by a score of 57-45. While the offense was paced by DJ Howard with 13 points, turnovers and a lacking defensive effort were the demise for the Colts. They look to bounce back Thursday night against crosstown rival Parchment. 

1-24 - Comstock 48 - Bridgman 52 OT

The JV Boys hit the road on Friday night to take on an undefeated Bridgman team. After a back and forth game, the Colts found themselves down 3 with 30 seconds to go before DJ Howard hit a game tying shot to send it to OT. Ultimately turnovers prevented the Colts from earning a hardfought road win losing 52-48. The Colts are now 4-4 on the season, and 2-2 in conference. 

1-17 - Comstock 62 - Berrien Springs 51

The JV Colts took home their 4th win in 5 games Friday night defeating Berrien Springs by a score of 62-51. Masson Mollohan was tough to stop all night long as he racked up 34 points, while DJ Howard and Jeremiah Whickum-Ray held down the paint with 10 and 9 points respectively. The Colts move to 4-3, and 2-1 in the BSC, and now set their sights on a matchup with Bridgman on Friday. 

1-14 - Comstock 48 - Kalamazoo Christian 54

The JV boys traveled across town and down Stadium Drive Tuesday night to take on a tough undefeated Kalamazoo Christian team. K Christian came out with hot shooting and jumped out to an 8 point 1st quarter lead, but the Colts came storming back to reclaim the lead in the 3rd quarter. After a back and forth 2nd half, the Colts ran out of gas losing by a final score of 54-48. Masson Mollohan played a brilliant offensive gaming pouring in 25 points, and DJ Howard played strong on both ends of the court while adding 14 points of his own. The Colts, now 3-3, look to continue their mentally and physically tough play and rebound against Berrien Spring Friday at 4:30 pm. 

1-8 - Comstock 63 - Saugatuck 29

The very next night the Colts faced off against Saugatuck, and played their best game of the season in a 63-29 victory. 4 different players poured in double digits points including Amarion White with 10, DJ Howard with 11, Masson Mollohan with 13, and Andre Ford leading the way with 15 points while also playing a fine all around game at the point guard position. 

1-7 - Comstock 49 - Allegan 41

On Tuesday night a gritty Allegan team came to town. While the Colts were able to hold a lead throughout the entire game, the Tigers were able to keep it close with strong rebounding and a difficult zone defense. Masson Mollohan paced the way for the JV Boys filling it up for 22 points, while Andre Ford and DJ Howard chipped in 10 points each. 

12-19 - Comstock 43 - Brandywine 41

The JV boys took home their first win Thursday night against Brandywine. Down by 6 points at the half, the Colts accepted the challenge of toughness in the 3rd quarter to regain a lead. Tied at 41 with 10 seconds to play, Andre Ford made a tough shot in traffic to seal the victory. Ford finished with 6 points on the night, while Masson Mollohan poured in 17 and Jeremiah Whickum-Ray secured a double double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. DJ Howard also chipped in 8 points of his own battling through sickness.  

12-12 - Comstock 42 - Buchanan 57


The JV Colts dropped to 0-2 last Thursday falling to Buchanan by a score of 57-42. Holding a lead in the 2nd half, turnovers proved costly in letting that lead slip away. This young team looks to continue improvement with ball security and a more aggressive rebounding mentality. Offense was paced by Masson Mollohan's 22 points. The Colts look to pick up win # 1 tonight against Brandywine. 

12-10 - Comstock 35 - Vicksburg 50

A shorthanded Comstock JV Boys team traveled to Vicksburg Tuesday night for their season opener, falling by 15 points. A back and forth first quarter showed that this year's team will compete, but attention to detail must improve as missed layups and turnovers
proved to be the determining factors. DJ Howard paced the Colt offense with a 20 point performance, while Masson Mollohan chipped in 10 points of his own. The Colts look to bounce back Thursday night in their conference opener again Buchanan at home!
