3-11 - MHSAA District Semi Final
Comstock 42 - Delton Kellogg 54

Comstock ended their season Wednesday night in the district semi-final 54-42.  Comstock had a tough time scoring shooting just 4-23 from three-point range, and missed ten free throws, but never stopped battling.  Chad Paddock finished his career at Comstock with 15 points, hitting all 5 free throws.  Chad DIngman also added 8 points.

3-5 - Comstock 56 - Kalamazoo Christian 62

Comstock boys varsity fell short against Kalamazoo Christian Thursday night 62-56.  Reggie O'Steen led all scorers with 16 points, Chad Dingman added 12, and Tyreese Gardner had 9 points.  It was a hard fought game, but Kalamazoo Christian got more stops down the stretch.  Comstock's next game will be the district semi-final at Harper Creek Wednesday night at 6 PM where they will play the winner of Parchment and Delton.  The winner goes to the district final on Friday.

2-26 - Comstock 53 - Delton-Kellogg 50

On Thursday during Snowcoming, the Comstock varsity boys showed a lot of heart, overcoming a first half 8 point deficit to pull away with the win.  They out-scored the Panthers 32-21 in the second half to win 53-50 bringing their record to 9-10 on the season.  Chad Paddock led all scorers with 17 points, Tyreese Gardner had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Shane Easter also chipped in 10 points.  Comstock's next game is Thursday at home vs. Kalamazoo Christian.

2-24 - Comstock 54 - Constantine 68

Comstock came out strong with a 19-3 against first place Constantine Tuesday night.  Foul trouble, and Constantine's experience prevailed defeating the boys varsity team 68-54.  Chad Paddock led Comstock with 14 points, Chad Dingman added 12, and Shane Easter chipped in 11 points.

2-17 - Comstock 58 - Brandywine 51

Comstock's boys varsity won it's 5th out of 6 games Tuesday night against Niles-Brandywine.  Avenging a previous 26 point loss, Comstock battled back from a first half three point deficit to win 58-51.  Chad Dingman and Reggie O'Steen led Comstock with 13 points, Chad Paddock added 12, and Tyreese Gardner had 10 points.  Tra'Von Blakely also had 8 points and 11 rebounds.  Comstock's next game is at Constantine Tuesday night.

2-13 - Comstock 50 - Schoolcraft 47

Comstock beat Schoolcraft at their "Snowcoming" Friday night 50-47.  Down 18-12 at halftime, Comstock's offense began to explode in the second half for 38 points.  Tyreese Gardner made the go-ahead basket with 50 seconds left, and Tra'Von Blakely sealed the win with some free throws.  Tyreese Gardner led Comstock in scoring with 12 points, Reggie O'Steen had 11, and Tra'Von Blakely had 10 points.  Chad Paddock led Comstock with 11 rebounds.  Their next game is at home Tuesday against Niles-Brandywine

2-10 - Comstock 66 - Allegan 49

Comstock boys varsity won Tuesday night 66-49 against the Allegan Tigers.  Comstock had four players in double figures, and 9 players scoring.  Chad Dingman led all scorers with 16, Tyreese Gardner added 12, and Chad Paddock and Tra'Von Blakely scored 10 each.  Their next game will be at Schoolcraft Friday.

2-6 - Comstock 55 - Galesburg-Augusta 58

Comstock boys varsity lost a hard fought game against Galesburg at their "Snowcoming" Friday night.  Comstock out scored Galesburg in three of the four quarters, but it wasn't quite enough.  Chad Paddock led Comstock in scoring with 13 points, Reggie O'Steen added 12, and Brian Barnes also had 10 points.

2-3 - Comstock 55 - Hackett 35

Comstock Varsity boys beat Hackett 55-35 Tuesday night.  This was their second straight win, and it was a 46 point turn-around against the second ranked team in the conference.  Comstock played phenomenal defense, stemmed from Tra'Von Blakely holding Hackett's best player to only 3 points.  Comstock had 8 different players scoring, Chad Dingman led all scorers with 13 points, Reggie O'Steen added 11, Chad Paddock had 9, and Brian Barnes had 7.  Comstock's next game will be at Galesburg on Friday for their winter homecoming.

1-30 - Comstock 54 - Parchment 43

Comstock came out with a win at Parchment Friday night.  Parchment played tough the entire game, but Tra'Von Blakely hit some clutch free throws late (7 points) and Tyreese Gardner and Chad Dingman made some clutch shots down the stretch both scoring 13 points in the game.  Chad Paddock added 8 rebounds in the game.

1-27 - Comstock 45 - Kalamazoo Christian 55

K-Christian defeated Comstock varsity boys Tuesday night.  Comstock battled and was in it the whole game, but Kalamazoo Christian made big shots down the stretch and free throws to win by 10.  Chad Paddock led Comstock with 11 points, Reggie O'Steen and Tyreese Gardner also had 9 points each.

1-23 - Comstock 40 - Delton-Kellogg 49

Comstock lost to Delton 49-40 Friday night during Delton's Hall of Fame Night.  Comstock and Delton went back and forth the entire game, but Delton's 1-3-1 defense in the 4th quarter sealed the deal.  Reggie O'Steen led Comstock in scoring with 13 points, and Tra'Von Blakely added 10 points and 9 rebounds.

1-20 - Comstock 49 - Constantine 51

Comstock lost to first place Constantine 51-49.  Going into the fourth quarter Comstock trailed by 5 points, but with a late surge they tied the game up late.  Constantine's Cody Ley made a basket with under 30 seconds that ended up being the game winner.  Comstock was led by Reggie O'Steen in his first game with the Colts scoring 17 points, and Chad Paddock also added 10.

1-17 - Comstock 52 - Schoolcraft 56

Schoolcraft is a good team.  They had a tough task opening up with some great teams from our league.  They came out tonight and hit big shots when they needed them, especially Walker Small.  I really felt like tonight could be a turning point for us.  The guys stepped up and played solid defense in the second half and gave us a chance at the end.  Down by 2, then 3 in the last 50 seconds we had a few opportunities, but couldn't capitalize.  This is a game was a step in the right direction.

1-13 - Comstock 45 - Coloma 83

Comstock fell short against Coloma losing 83-45 Tuesday night.  Coloma played it's best offensive game of the year, including Austin Rushing scoring 28 points for Coloma.  Comstock had a great effort by Chad Dingman scoring 12 points, and Chad Paddock added a double double scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds.

1-6 - Comstock 46 - Pennfield 70

Comstock lost to Pennfield 70-46.  They were down by just 1 at halftime, but Pennfield Panthers prevailed with a huge second half.  Chad Paddock played great defense against the 7 foot Ryan Lowe of Pennfield holding him to just 11 points.  Comstock was led in scoring by Tyreese Gardner scoring 10 points, Chad Dingman with 9, and Shane Easter chipped in 8.

12-30 - Comstock 69 - Gobles 56

In the consolation game the Comstock Colts defeated the Gobles Tigers 69-56.  Getting up by 10 in the first quarter, Gobles never climbed within 10 points.  Comstock had four players scoring double digits; Chad Paddock with 20, Chad Dingman with 13, Brian Barnes with 11, and Tyreese Gardner with 10.  Chad Dingman had a double/double in the game also dishing out 11 assists, and Tra'Von Blakely helped out inside with 4 blocks.  This game brings the Colts record to 3-2.

12-29 - Comstock 41 - Brandywine 68

In the first game of the White Pigeon Tournament the Comstock Colts faced a tough Niles-Brandywine team, and lost 68-41 bringing their overall record to 2-2.  Tyreese Gardner had 8 points and 6 rebounds and Chad Paddock had 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks.  Niles-Brandywine came in shooting the ball very well and they continued this scoring 44 of their 67 points in the second half.

12-19 - Comstock 64 - Galesburg-Augusta 40

Comstock boys varsity won bringing their record to 2-1 on the season defeating Galesburg-August 64-40.  Comstock took a lead mid way through the first quarter and continued to pull away.  Tra'Von Blakely had 6 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Leading the Colts in scoring was Chad Dingman with 20 points, and Brian Barnes with 17 points.

12-16 - Comstock 42 - Hackett 68

Comstock lost to Hackett Tuesday night by the score of 68-42.  Hackett's experience paid off as they moved the ball, and shot the ball extremely well.  Leading scorers for Comstock was Chad Dingman with 12 points, Tra'Von Blakely with 9, and Brian Barnes with 7.  Gavin Clopton also added in 6 points making two three-point shots.

12-12 - Comstock 69 - Parchment 52


Comstock varsity boys won Friday night by the score of 69-52.  Brian Barnes led all scoring with 18 points and also added 9 rebounds.  Chad Dingman had 13 points, 5 assists, and Chad Paddock also added 12 points.  Tra'Von Blakely also had 7 points and 10 rebounds.  Overall it was a great team effort, out scoring the Parchment Panthers 25-9 to secure the victory.
