John Lierman

John Lierman

Class of 1978

To talk of John is to talk of the Lierman family. John’s father was a bacteriologist at Borgess and his mother was a dynamic RN. He had five sisters as well and the entire family has made great contributions to the Comstock community and schools. Take a minute and look at John’s athletic record here and at Hillsdale College. It is truly impressive, not unlike others of the Hall of Fame. Yes, 8 varsity letters at Comstock and 8 varsity letters at Hillsdale College. Yes, he was all that, enthusiastic and he loved every minute of it. He is best remembered for the 48 points that he scored in a basketball game in 1976. He held the school and conference record for many years. He is an athlete, community leader at Holt and president of the Holt junior ram basketball program which contributed to Holts class A championship over Romulus. John Lierman loved every minute of it! - Dr. Jack Hunt
