Basketball:

  • 4 year varsity starter (fall of 1998-99-00-01), started every game Comstock played.
  • Started 88 consecutive games in four years. Possibly an all time Comstock record for any sport.
  • First place for season 3’s 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001.
  • First place for season assists, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001.
  • First place for season total points, 1999, 2001.
  • Second place for season total points, 1998, 2000.
  • First place for career 3’s with 80, 14 more than second place person.
  • First place for best free-throw percentage with 78%, 2000
  • Fourth place for career total points with 957.
  • Looks as if First place for career assists and steals but cannot find records for her sophomore and junior years (1999-2000 and 2000-2001).
  • Averaged 16.1 points/game in 2001 and 10.9 points/game for career.
  • Lead team to District Championships in 2000, 2001.
  • Named one of top 100 basketball players in Michigan by Detroit Free Press in 2001.
  • Traverse City All-State Basketball Camp All-Star, 2001.
  • CMU Basketball Team Camp All-Star, 2001.

Soccer:

  • 4 year varsity starter (spring of 1999-00-01-02), started every game Comstock played.
  • Started 70 consecutive games in four years.
  • First place for season goals, assists and total points, 2000 & 2001.
  • Second place for season goals, assists and total points, 2002.

Track:

  • 1 varsity letter, 2000. That year there were not enough girls on the track team and the soccer girls were asked to run track, which Jennifer did.

College Athletics Achievements: 

  • Hope College (2002-03) - was back-up point guard for a team that went 31-1 and went to the elite 8 in the NCAA Division 3 tournament. Played in every game averaging 4.2 points/game. Had 17 3’s. Had a game high of 18 points.
  • Kalamazoo Valley Community College (2003-04) - was back-up point guard for a team that went 32-3 and finished fourth in the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Division II Region XII tournament. Played in every game averaging 3.3 points/game. Had 14 3’s. Received an Academic All State Award.
  • Kalamazoo College (2004-05) – was back-up point guard for a team that went 10-16. Played in 24 games averaging 2.9 points/game.
  • Kalamazoo College (2005-06) – was point guard for a team that went 8-17. Started all 25 games at point guard averaging 9.5 points/game. Was team captain. Lead the team for season 3’s with 38. Was Coach’s Award Winner. Named MIAA Honorable Mention All Conference.
