New STEM Teachers

Meet Mrs. Pobuda and Mrs. Tennant

We are happy to announce our two newest Comstock STEM Academy teachers, Mrs. Pobuda and Mrs. Tennant. Mrs. Pobuda will be teaching 6th-8th grade math, and assisting with STEM. Mrs. Tennant will be teaching 6th-8th grade ELA and social studies.

Mrs. PobudaThis is Mrs. Pobuda’s fourth year teaching and her first in Comstock. During her first three years teaching, she taught middle school math at Niles Community Schools and Kalamazoo Public Schools. She attended college at Grand Valley State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and History. Mrs. Pobuda will be teaching Algebra 1 to our 8th graders for high school credit. 

Mrs. TennantMrs. Tennant attended college at Cornerstone University, where she received her Bachelor’s in Social Studies and English. She has a Masters in Educational Technology from Ashford University. She has spent the last two years teaching middle school English in Wisconsin. While there, she was the Technology Integrationist. Before moving to Wisconsin, Mrs. Tennant taught English and Social Studies at a small school in Kalamazoo. Mrs. Tennant will be teaching US History and Honors English 9 to our 8th graders, with each student earning high school credit in both classes.
